So you only have 2 days to spare in Cunnamulla and the surrounding towns! (3 days or more would be better!)

But if 2 days is all you have!

  1. When you arrive in town
    • Start your day with a hearty Outback breakfast at a local café or if you are already here at your accommodation.
  2. Explore the Town:
    • Take a stroll around the town to get a feel for the local atmosphere. Grab a selfie with the Cunnamulla Fella statue, a famous landmark, grab some souvenirs at one of the local shops or art galleries.
  3. Cunnamulla Visitor Information Centre:
    • Spend a couple of hours at the Cunnamulla Visitor Information Centre, home of the Artesian Time Tunnel, Cunnamulla Heritage Museum and Art Gallery all of which offers insights into the town’s history, indigenous culture, and the famous Cunnamulla Fella.
  4. Lunch:
    • Enjoy a traditional lunch at one of our many great pubs or even try one of the world famous (and super tasty) Camel Burgers!
  5. Afternoon:
    • Choose between a stroll around the Cunnamulla Bushland Reserve, Warrego River Walk or Cunnamulla Heritage Trail or if relaxing is more your thing, jump into the brand new Cunnamulla Hot Springs for an afternoon of therapy in warm artesian spring water, and see why Cunnamulla is known as the Hot Springs Capital of Australia! If you cooking for yourself grab some amazing meat from our local butcher and fresh produce from one of our 4 local grocers.
  6. Evening:
    • And if cooking isn’t your thing, head to a local pub or restaurant for a relaxing dinner. You may even find a place with live music often available 7 nights a week. Make sure you check the “What’s On Guide” at the Visitor Information Centre

Day 2:

  1. Morning:
    • Enjoy another hearty Outback breakfast to start your day or grab a coffee and cake at one of the towns great cafes or bakery. Make a quick call to the Artesian Mud Baths in Eulo and reserve a spot for some pampering later!
  2. Take a 40 minute drive to Eulo:
    • Explore some of Eulos interesting history and stop in at one of the local art and craft shops to grab some handmade leather work, opal jewelry or famous Eulo honey!
  3. Artesian Mud Baths Eulo:
    • Arrive in time for the booking you made earlier and soak take a soak with the natural milky artesian mud baths. Enjoy wine and nibbles as those stresses melt away.
  4. Lunch:
    • Stop at the Eulo Queen Hotel for lunch and a little more local history!
  5. Now its decision time:
    • Do you drive on another hour to Yowah and go fossicking for the famous Yowah Opal Nut, or do you return to Cunnamulla to relax in Air conditioned comfort and watch the sound and light spectacular at the “Cunnamulla All Aboard” movie at the old Railway Station? Both are good choices.
  6. Watch the sun go down:
    • If fossicking was your choice, spend some more time soaking in the Yowah Artesian Pools and ask a local where is the best spot to watch the sun go down. If you returned to Cunnamulla then a cold beer in town or watching the sun go down from the Warrego River walk are both great options!
  7. Dinner:
    • Finally pick another of Cunnamulla’s great pubs or hotels for dinner. From some great pub favorites to gourmet delights you can’t go wrong.
  8. Your final sleep:
    • As you relax in bed, think carefully, should you add in an extra day just to cover the things you didn’t have time for; Charlotte Plains, a station stay, fishig on the Warrego, a trip to Wyandra Beach or do you just start planning a return trip for next time and more new experiences!
