2 Day – Cunnamulla Sampler

When you just have a couple of days to spare, don’t try and rush, but sample some of what Cunnamulla has to offer

Your first morning

Settle in to one of our 3 great caravan parks in town and make your first stop at the Cunnamulla Visitor Information Centre, find out the answers to all your questions, then allow time to experience the Artesian Time Tunnel, Museum and view the Artesian Basin documentary. Its a great insight into the lifeblood of our land and will give you a great appreciation of your next stop.

Time to soak your cares away

Just a 200m walk from the information centre and you will find yourself at the Cunnamulla Hot Springs where you can relax, bathe and enjoy the serenity of 7 naturally heated pools, a dry sauna, steam room and relaxation lounge with complimentary Zen Chi machines and herbal teas.
Let the mineral rich waters ease those aching muscles and to remind you that your alive, why not try a Fire and Ice session including the chilled 10 degree plunge pool!

History brought to life

After a real pub lunch, either take a gentle walk along the banks of the Warrego River, or relax at your accommodation, have a rest and share stories and tips with your new neighbours.
Just make sure your ready at 3 to head down to the All Aboard 3D Sound and Light Show at the old Railway Station. Listen to tall tales and amazing stories and learn how the outback was built off of the sheep’s back.
There’s still time for a second dip at the Hot Springs, (already included in your day pass) or explore the town before enjoying a meal at one of the towns 5 pubs and hotels.

Slow exploration

Time to relax and explore with a slow start to the morning and a leisurely breakfast in town. Explore some of our local shops, from opals, gifts, crafts and local art, and why not incorporate some of our Heritage Trail into your explorations. Shop and take in some amazing history at the same time.

The outback artesian experience

Head off after lunch for a short 45 minute drive to Charlotte Plains. A working sheep station that has been owned by the same family for over 100 years and is world famous for its rustic Bore Bath Experience.
Book a private artesian bath of relax in the unpowered camping area and feel the hot mineral water as it comes directly out of the ground from the Artesian Basin directly below your feet.
