NON-INDIGENOUS USE:

Rails, fodder and firewood.

INDIGENOUS USE:

spear shafts, boomerangs and Nulla Nullas. Sap was used for curing skins of animals.

DESCRIPTION:

grow up to 10m high which often form a dense stand usually as the result of root suckers generally on clay soils where gilgiis are present.

BARK:

hard dark brown, dark grey to black and fissured.

LEAVES:

silvery canopy.

FLOWERS:

Yellow and red.
